EDUCATION & MENTORING

My deep love of design was fostered by family members, teachers, and mentors who encouraged my boldness. When I had the opportunity to do the same for young designers, I jumped in feet first.

From Sheridan College to U of T, I’ve been an enthusiastic educator since 2014. I’ve had the chance to travel, to speak at KEA University in Denmark, to give talks on happiness, advise on international projects, and other incredible initiatives that feed my creative spirit. Best of all, I get to empower students to push boundaries and build their own brand of fearlessness.

Teaching has pushed me too. It gives me a new perspective on my own work, I can better direct projects, and have become a skilled manager. It’s a privilege to help others grow, build their careers, and become exuberant, unabashed designers in their own right.

I continue to teach part time, I’m an active member of the RGD (Registered Graphic Designers), I sit on the Media Foundations Program Advisory Committee at Humber College, and welcome engaging volunteer opportunities. No matter where my heart takes me, educating and cheering on other designers will always be a part of my journey.
